Skype Android App updated (v2.0.0.45) with two-way video call support for selected Android smartphones

Good news for Android smart phone users as the popular Skype Android app has been updated today with added support of two-way video call. This feature will work over both Wi-Fi and 3G network. Currently this version is available for a selected Android (2.3) models only that allow video calling (HTC Desire S, Sony Xperia Neo, Sony Xperia Pro and Google’s Nexus S). However Skype promised to add support for more models in the near future. Besides video calling you can also enjoy all the regular Skype goodies with this version –

1. Make and receive free Skype one-to-one video calls to and from other Skype users on Windows PC, iPhone, Mac, and other Android smart phones

2. Make cheap calls to landlines and mobiles around the globe

3. Send (ISD) SMS messages anywhere in the world at cheap rates

Besides added features there is also a redesigned UI with a new main menu from where you can navigate easily through your contacts, access your Skype profile to change personal details, use the dial pad to make calls, see the balance of your Skype Credit plus a new “mood message box” at the top of the menu to “share your feelings”.
You can download Skype Android app from the Android Market
